9/28 event report & upcoming

It was a fun day yesterday. The sun was shining and a few took advantage of soaking up rays on the decks and the well-cushioned chaises. We welcomed a returning lady to our club and had a super catching up day. The pool hasn't been closed since we didn't have all the winterizing chemicals we need. Hopefully, we'll get them either later today or tomorrow. I did get in the pool to scoop out leaves for a bit. Those who stayed for dinner enjoyed grilled Angus beef burgers, coleslaw, macaroni salad, and fudge covered rum cake with ice cream. Our next event is Saturday, Oct. 5: our annual Oktoberfest, beer & wine tasting followed by a Bavarian themed potluck supper. You're welcome to visit; it doesn't have to be an event to visit. Just give us a shout. Most of the auction items have been distributed. As soon as they are all picked up/mailed and paid for, we'll figure out how much we're giving NAC, AANR Ed Foundation, and Sistercare, a charity for abused women and their children.
