Anti-Social Network - Or Just Me?

I write this blog about my own unique experience on this site. It is not meant to degrade the site, its members, or offend anyone. It is an avenue in which I can express my own experience and thoughts. I joined this site after being referred by another member who spoke very highly of it. She told me that it was a haven for nudists to socialize and get to know other nudists around the world and become friends with great people. I've been here for many years trying to make friends with people and socialize. In my daily life, I'm mainly surrounded by females - as a nursing assistant I'm almost solely working with other females since nurses are mostly female (a few male nurses are exceptions). I noticed that I tend to connect better and more deeply with females, and I find it difficult to connect with guys. I don't have anything against guys, but I tend to relate better with girls than with guys. I can go on and on about the reasons why, but it would be a long read. Long story short, I relate better with girls than guys in my daily life and most of my close friends are girls. I've tried to remain optimistic about my nudist experience here, but it has proven to be difficult. I've noticed that the vast majority of "friends" on here do not respond to messages, don't comment on pictures that I post, and don't interact meaningfully in any way really. When I message people, I'm not sexual or inappropriate with the content of the messages. My communications are the same as in everyday life - how was your holiday and what did you do to celebrate? How is school going and how did that exam turn out? Yet, I've found that most messages are either read and not responded to, or not even read in the first place. It's the same in the chat room on here that I've tried lately too. Again, no response most of the time. This isn't to say that nobody responds...I'm grateful for the few who actually converse in a meaningful way. I'm just speaking of the vast majority. I thought that this site would be more like in daily life - like facebook or similar platform. On facebook, people actually interact - they give a thumbs-up on a picture, post, or comment. They read a message and respond to you. They don't just ignore you. So, as my title suggests - I question if this is an anti-social network, or is it just me having unrealistic expectations? I have gotten a lot of male interest as of late. Males wanting to friend me without even chatting with me, or they want me to send them nude pictures even though we don't know one another. As I said earlier in this blog, I'm not interested in talking about the talented sports team or a vintage sports car that is amazing. I don't dislike guys, rather I just don't relate as well to the typical male. Maybe something is wrong with me? Maybe I just don't fit in anywhere in society. I guess these are just my random thoughts for the day. Not sure if any of the people on my friends list will actually read this - probably not. I assume random people will read it, and then I'll get a number of random friend requests and/or messages from guys wanting to give their perspective. Maybe the majority of female members on this site are not truly females. I did read MissCrumpet's post about some members not being truthful about who they really are. Maybe the same thing is happening to me on here. I haven't spoken to MissCrumpet about her unique experience, but I would be interested in conversing with her (although I have been scared to reach out to her for fear or rejection by her). I just hope that most people have had better experiences than I have. Don't get me wrong...not everyone here is bad or untruthful. I've encountered a couple people who are genuinely great people and do converse. Sadly, the majority is what I'm talking about. Guess there is good and bad in everything! Sorry for rambling on and on, that is if you've read this far! Toodles!
