Can a nudist be overweight and still be accepted by the community? The answer is yes. That said, know that like any other community of people, there is always some who will judge you by your appearance. Being overweight most of my life, I have experienced it far too many times to count. I always liked the idea living the nudist lifestyle, but being my size, I never took the plunge in fear of being judged, shunned or rejected. That was until a few years ago when I was at my heaviest and decided to go for it I remember the day well. I went to a location in South Florida that I heard many great things about. Now planning to go was one thing, but actually being there was another. I wasnt sure how I would feel about taking my clothes off in front of others and being overweight. The key for me was that I looked around and noticed that not everybody there had a perfect body. Then in one quick motion I was standing on the beach wearing nothing but what I came into this world with. Surprisingly, it was very calming and felt completely natural. I wasn't fearful of people looking at me by any means, and nobody seemed to care about how I looked. They were all there for the same reason that I was to feel free. In fact, I met a few people and had quite good conversations with them. One person, an older lady, came over to me and said, I assume this is your first time at a beach like this. I was quick to justify that it was. She gave me a piece of advice that I will take with me wherever I go. She said, We all felt the same way the very first time. She was right. I am sure everybody was a little nervous the first time they did this. Then I thought how true that was about so many other things in life. I took to heart what she said, and I placed my towel down on the sand and sat back for some good sun time. Unfortunately, I am fair skinned, and with that came sunburn. Needless to say, I was sunburned pretty much everywhere. I know for the next time (and there would be a next time) I was going to bring sunscreen with a higher SPF! The human body is nothing to be ashamed of. We are only that way because we believe what advertisers tell us. We believe that we have to be society perfect in every aspect of our bodies to be seen all natural. Untrue, we are perfect, just the way we are. Now for me, I am losing weight. The first time I went I was 392 pounds and currently I am 277 pounds. I am proud of my body. It may not be perfect by societal standards, but for me it is perfect. I hope more people will share their own personal stories like this and I will continue to share mine in more blog posts! Thanks for taking the time to read it Have an awesome day and nude on!
