Been away quite awhile

It was a very hectic 2016 for me. I was waiting on confirmation of getting my Master's Degree from the Dean's office when I got an urgent request for my resume/ CV for my local community college. I sent it in, and heard nothing until just after New Year's Day, when I got a phone call to come in for an interview to begin teaching History. Well, I still didn't *officially* have the degree, but went anyway. Interviewed January 10th...and started teaching on the 15th! It was crazed but I survived, though I had only the one course that semester which helped...I officially got my Masters on March 1st. and the diploma arrived in the mail a week later. I had no official course for summer semester, so I held on to the night job until I found out what I was assigned for the Fall semester, and took teacher computer training classes in the mornings...Thankfully I had 30 days lead time to get ready as instead of 2 courses, I ended up teaching 4 courses! 2 classes of Western Civilization, and 2 of American History. One month into semester, I got tapped to lead a student travel study in History to London for this January. So, in addition to teaching 4 courses, I was madly putting together 120 hours of instruction/travel for 13 days in England...only to have the trip cancelled for low enrollment due to circumstances beyond our control. I was scheduled for 3 courses for Spring semester (which started 2 weeks ago) only to have 1 cancelled for low enrollment. Soooooooo....I am working on 2 of the same courses (the American Histories) as I did in Fall semester, while also developing a couple of new course proposals for the future...and the planning for the 2018 London Tour starts on February 15th... As the last full time History professor (my mentor) is retiring at the end of the semester, I am expecting 4 courses again, with myself and the other adjunct each doing one group each of Western Civilization 1 & 2, and American History 1 & 2. We will also be developing new courses for both of us going forward as well. Needless to say, my only naked time has been at home this past year. Hopefully, that will change come summer. Unless I am assigned something I have not taught yet, all my coursework (power-points, tests, assignments, etc) are ready, and I just need to show up the first day of classes :) So, I am sorry if I haven't been responding to emails, etc. as I haven't spend a heck of a lot of time doing fun stuff on the internet for the better part of 6 months. Hopefully, I can visit more often! *keep your fingers crossed* LOL.
