Chinese New Year Event Report & forth coming

Travelites members gathered to celebrate another fun event. We enjoyed sunny weather and a wonderfully warm hot tub in Hopkins, SC. There was the ever-present garlic/spinach dip and mango salsa as well as cheddar popcorn and other snacks. The oriental potluck supper included a combination dish of vegetables, chicken, beef, port, shrimp, and lobster; sweet & sour chicken, ribs, egg drop soup, wonton soup, and for dessert, brownies, fortune cookies, and two flavors of ice cream. Attendees received little plush oriental bears to commemorate the event. Travelites' next event is the Oyster Roast in Ridgeway, SC. There will be past Alfredo and other dishes for those who prefer to not eat oysters. If you are interested in eating oysters, the cost is $9/person. Please let us know if you plan to be there no later than February 7th as the sweet single mollusks have to be ordered.
