I really did not have an opportunity to be nude until I went to college, and the following account is not really nudism or naturism per say, it but was simply where my mind set was at that point in my life. I went to a Christian college in Southern California and as such, our dorms were segregated; men had their own dorm, and the women had their own with married couples housing in apartments on campus. The dorms only had one shower room per wing (two wings per floor) and it was common practice for me to walk nude carrying my toiletry kit in one hand, and my towel over my shoulder, whereas all the other guys did the same but wearing their towel around their waist. I thought, "it's a mens dorm ... we have all seen other guys naked before. What's the big deal?". I guess the other guys did not feel that way. We would have a female cleaning lady come in and clean the showers and toilets daily, but they usually did so in the early afternoon when most of us were in class. Well, I had no classes one day and had relished the opportunity to sleep in late, and took my shower as normal, but it was after lunch time. When I left the shower room, nude as usual, there was the cleaning lady coming down the hallway with her cart, and yes, she saw the full monty. She looked a bit shocked, but did not make a big deal about it, and I did not bother to cover myself, and we both continued what we were doing. I never heard any comments about the scenario, so I continued doing what I had always done and established: I walked nude from my room to the showers and back again. Over the course of my college years, I was seen by the cleaning staff at least several dozen times, yet no one ever reported me (to my knowledge) and nothing was ever said to me about it. In fact, the cleaning ladies and I would even smile and say hello to one another as we passed in the hallway. I doubt that would happen today, for many reasons, but at the time, it was wonderful.
