Deleting PMs

I hear people are having difficulty deleting PMs. Im not having to much difficulty with this but Im also running Safari as a web browser on an iPad. For me I just click on the trash can icon next to the message and this deletes the messages but not the User or Sender. I have to then click on the trash can a second time and that will delete the Sender as well. I hope this helps everyone.
