Desert Camping ........

The night was still and the stars were out in full, the moon was almost full. I was setting out finishing a glass of wine enjoying the show god had given me tonight. The desert was very quiet and only the campfire could be heard, was a beautiful time to be setting nude, for the temp was probably around 70 degrees which was a pleasant change from the afternoon in the area of 110. I heard a distant noise and looked around to see a pair of headlights down the road which not a sole had been on in the two days I had been here. the lights bounced around on the rough road like fire flies in the night. Thinking they would go on by I stayed seated and sipped my wine. They were making good time and seemed to know the road. As they got closer I could see it was a truck with a camper on it. They pulled into my camp and slid to a stop. Startled I just sat there and hoped they were not trouble. It was a man and a woman about my age. After catching my breath I said sorry for not being clothed, got back a quick thats ok. They were locals from around the area and come out this way a lot, to go soaking in a hot spring that was not much known. I ask if they would like a glass of wine and we talked for a couple hours. I was getting sleepy so I said I would share the camp site with them if they wanted too. After a greatful thank you, I was into my small pop up trailer and asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. Morning came and there was some noise outside slipped a pair of shorts and went out to greet my neighbors, they had breakfast of eggs bacon and biscuits, plus a large pot of coffee, all cooked over an open fire. they said dig in and that was all I needed. After filling up on great grub. They invited me to come along to the hot spring with them. I asked where it was and was told just a short easy hike from where we were at, which really surprised me for I had thought I had seen all that was around in two days of hiking and driving around the area. I went in to pack my day pack and when I came out they were ready to go standing there nude with there packs on, they said it's just a short hike why take more than we need. I droped my shorts and said lets go. Not a half mile across the desert we came to what looked like a huge pile of very giant sized rocks, around the one side was a small opening just big enough to squeeze through after about 25 to 30 yards it opened up and there was a spring completely surrounded by this mountain of giant rocks. The water came from underground at a very pleasant temp, just warm enough to feel super in the desert heat. You would never think it would be here. we spent a wonderful day just visiting and getting to know more about each other. They knew of other desert secrets they shared some but gave me their address and said I would have to come visit to know more. We enjoyed another evening of night time wonders. In the morning another super breakfast and it was time to pack up and move on. We said our good byes and said we would stay in touch. I can say, I really had a great time and will do it again as long as god will allow me too.
