Does anyone read profiles?

So, I'm not generally a blogger, but I've written this on my profile and no one seems to read it. If they can't read the first few things on the left hand side, will they ever get down as far as the Blogs? Oh well, I'll try. I edited my profile info to say "Please don't send me a random friend request, especially if we're never likely to meet", and yet I still get guys - and almost always it is guys - sending me friend requests. Especially gay guys, who, I assume, just want me to add you so you can see my pics? Now, don't get me wrong, I'll be friends with anyone who chats, and who is interesting, and can hold a conversation that goes beyond my nudist interests or experiences, regardless of gender, sexuality, location, whatever. But I can only assume that either you're just "friend collectors" who see a long friends list as a badge of honour, or you want to see my "friends only" pics - which I set that way for a reason. I'm sure you wouldn't go up to someone in a pub and say "Can I be your friend", would you? You might start talking to them. You might get to know them. After a while, you may call yourself acquaintances or friends, that's how a friendship works. But please, if you've nothing to actually say to me, and couldn't be bothered to spend ten minutes filling in some basic profile info yourself, please don't send me a friend request, I'm not here just to add people to a friends list for the sake of it.
