Exhibitionism vs. Nudism According to the dictionary, exhibitionism is defined as: a tendency to display one's abilities or to behave in such a way as to ATTRACT attention. Nudism is defined as: the practice of going nude, especially in places that allow sexually mixed groups, in the belief that such practice benefits health. The reason I want to talk about this is because its one of the biggest questions I get from people about me being a nudist. They want to know if I am doing it strictly for the thrill of it? The answer, NO! I do it because of the freedom it brings to my life. Clothes are restricting and being naked gives one the ability to enjoy life as I believe it was intended. Plus, the health benefits are awesome! FYI: exhibitionists want to be seen for the excitement, I go naked at home 24/7, so obviously it is not about being seen by others. Over the years, I have definitely met many people who were strictly going to nude beaches or resorts for one thing, the thrill. THIS IS NOT WHAT NUDISM IS ABOUT and a true nudist understands that. I love SOCIAL interaction with people who love being a nudist for the same reasons. I remember one time at a beach in South Florida, this guy was there strictly hitting on the women. I was impressed that a few people walk up to him and asked him to move on and he did. I was like cool, these people understand what nudism is about. Nudist dont go to places to be gawked at. They go there to enjoy life and to be social. You should feel free and safe wherever you are. What are your thoughts on the subject? I am interested to hear different perspectives. Anyway, I hope you all have an awesome day and Nude On!
