Expressing an opinion

In the chat room the other night I was banned for expressing an opinion. A woman expressed the desire she only wanted to chat with people from the USA or UK, which to me is a personal preference and quite acceptable. Yet the moderator suggested that sort of comment should be reserved for the profile, I replied HE hadn't been pestered by men and it is better to know her preferences than be ignored or told where to go. I've not seen anything in the rules about having to accept a chat request or about preference as to who to chat to, yet this moderator banned me for expressing my opinion, politely. I'm not particularly bothered, more annoyed that a petty minded bureaucrat can play God.
