Fakes, thieves and Certification

We all need to understand that to join this site and to become certified is easy - a couple of pictures one clothed, one not, with a notice held up - no problem for any single person. Next - these two 'membership' photos are not shown automatically as part of your profile pictures - so no-one can compare the 'official' picture of members with any others on their profile, every picture put up could be of someone else (not the actual member). It is, of course possible for the site administrator to verify every picture before it is 'published' and indeed he/she/they do this - as several get rejected (although the standards seem to be un-evenly applied between females and male pictures, but that's another story). Why the administratores don't stop this obvious impersonation or pretence is a question for them, BUT our way is to only reveal our pictures to our chosen friends. The site's certifiaction process is a fund-raising technique. If we all use only our friends list as a control, then it won't matter about these 'fakes' they'll be unable to do any harm. If we rely on the 'certification' then we are opening ourselves up to the hit and miss control of an unknown administrator who's looking to raise money. It is unfortunate and unpleaseant when nice people are taken advantage of and get pictures 'stolen' but certification gives a false sense of security - the best way is to use your friend list carefully and protect your pictures by restricting their view to your friends only - do not open them to certified people who you do not know. We will never rid the world of fakes and wannabes who are afraid to make the leap of faith into openness and nude friendship, but we can take steps to protect ourselves and set an open standard. If we are truely convinced of the rightness and benefit and enjoyment of shared nudity, stand up, reveal yourselves but be prudent and control your friend list, do not rely on another's certification as proof they are true-nudists, they are not, they've just 'bought the t-shirt'.
