Falling in love with another nudist

I wasn't planning to fall in love, but who's planning something like this anyway?! It was a year or so ago, he came over to my apartment for a nude hang. Back then I lived in the UWS. He was cautious, respectful. I appreciated that, but something pulled me in to him. We slowly started hugging more, and hugging led to kissing, and so on. Since then I've seen him couple of more times. Somewhere in between, I went into a relationship and cut ties with him and everyone else I was nudisiming with. But I thought about him still. When I became single again, I immediately contacted him, and he replied quickly. We met again, and again. We instantly became close, I more then him. When he realized I might have to leave the country soon, temporarily, he broke. I tried to keep him, but he couldn't bring himself to be close with me anymore. We cut ties, again. But there wasn't a day I didn't think about him. I texted, he didn't reply. When I finally moved, I texted him again, and we scheduled a video chat. I told him I was in love with him and that I think he might be the one. He said he liked what we had, and he did get attached, but at the same time, he gets attached with anyone he's dating, so it's not a special case for him. I felt hurt. I was willing to keep a long distance, until I'm back, but he wasn't willing to consider. I promised I won't text again, I didn't want to cause him anxiety. He agreed. And I never did. But now I'm coming back again, and I still can't stop thinking about him. I want to reach out, I want to date him, love him, all that. But in my mind I keep hearing his words - It wasn't anything special for him. I am clearly much more engaged than him. I bet he's not even thinking about me anymore. I sense urge and a touch of desperation in me. No one likes desperate people. But what else can I do if I still feel so strongly towards him? I've never been in this situation, and I don't know what to do. My higher self tells me to let go. Perhaps I should listen. After all, nothing good ever comes out from such intense energy, urge and obsessiveness.
