There was a time when my husband and I rented a place with a private back yard and pool. We would have guys over for pool parties and BBQ's. Sometime just dinner and chit chat. The landlord sold the house from under us and we had a short period to find a place and move. It was awful and felt like it put "normal" life on hold. The place we found turned out to be a nightmare. I'm pretty sure the slapped some paint on it and hoped everything broken wouldn't come to light till we were ending the lease. For a year it was constant repair people coming in an out of the place. By the way, my husband travels for work so I handled the move and the repair people myself. Would occasionally get away and trust me it was needed. But I noticed the majority of the folks who used to be around all the time were suddenly gone. A few still invite us over and those remain as our close friends. It felt like we just ceased to exist for a long time. No one wants to think some folks only become your friend for what they think you've got. Those who took the time to actually move past the "stuff", are the awesome people who are still our friends today. I do look forward to letting more people around again. I don't need constant activity around me, but I also don't want quiet all the time. When you have a spouse that has to travel a lot and your friends are busy, it can truly become to quiet. Nudist friends are not easy to find. Not sure why, but they are. Most of the folks I know are not nudists and I don't believe in requiring it of them. When I do get to spend time with a nudist friend or any friend for that matter, it makes me feel like my feet are grounded once again. I don't want to sound down, this is just stuff that goes through my head sometimes. It makes you wonder what life will truly be like as you get older.
