Feb 9, 2014 Sermon Thoughts (not about sermon but thoughts during…)

I find beauty where others find distraction and ungodliness. I am frustrated by their small thinking and narrow minds. We are made in God's image. God is not a small thinker and has a vast mind. There is nothing sinful about the human body. There is nothing sinful about God's body, ad we are made in His image. There is nothing sinful besides how people think and thus act. People can be more sinful in "modest clothes" than nude. The ability to imagine what is underneath the clothes and what could happen when those clothes are removed is much more intriguing than being completely naked with nothing to imagine and seeing someone go through daily activities that have no sexual correlations. There is a beauty to the human body that is overlooked and hidden, stuffed away, a tragic loss to everyone. And it shouldn't be only physically fit people who are glorified for their bodies and shown off. All sizes and health statuses should be shown for their own glory in being as they are. Stretch marks, belly rolls, scars, discolorations, bones (like ribs and spine), balding, "disproportionate" body parts (like small boobs to larger tummies etc), and anything else thought imperfect by society's standards should become the norm to see in our media. Butts, penises and vaginal openings should be no more shamed than a nose, elbow, or toe. Why are we so offended by true beauty?
