First Time Part 2

After my first trip to a nudist resort, I think I can safely say I am a social nudist. When I arrived at the pool area, it was maybe halfway occupied. As promised, there was a wide array of body shapes and sizes, and none of them were perfect. There was one fully clothed man cleaning the pool, but otherwise, everyone was naked. They were hanging outboth literally and figurativelyand no one seemed embarrassed or uncomfortable. When the time came, I barely hesitated. I think my 20 years of home nudity really helped in this respect. As I undressed, there were no catcalls or wolf whistles, no Look at the fat ugly pale guy! Over the next five hours, I never felt uncomfortable about my undressed state. I didnt socialize much, but thats because Im an introvert and socializing with strangers is not my forte. As it turned out, that day the resort held a fundraising lunch for the local fire department, which sent several of their people, who showed up in uniform and stayed that way for the duration of their visit. I could tell this wasnt their first time doing this, because neither group appeared uncomfortable in the others presence. Thankfully, my greatest feardeveloping an erectionnever materialized. I really think it is all about context. If all of the other attendees did have perfect bodies and were cavorting about, then it probably wouldve happened, and I expect I wouldnt have been nearly as comfortable being naked. But there was none of that, just people doing what you would expect around a pool: tanning, talking, reading, listening to music, playing games, and they just happened to be naked while doing it. I would have to say the best part of the day was lying by the pool, feeling the breeze on my bare skin. The sensation was indescribable, and Im pretty good with words. The best I can say is that it was nice. For all of you home nudists out there who are struggling to make the leap to social nudity, I would say go for it. And bring sunscreen.
