For what my 2 cents are worth........

After being on TN for couple months now and from looking at other sites I have made a couple observations that I thought I would share. Just to get some numbers to look at I did a few searches on TN based on gender and certification status for United States profiles. I found that about 3.8% of the female profiles are certified, about 8.2% of male profiles are certified and about 8.9% of the couple profiles are certified. Using only the numbers from certified profiles, gender ratios break down to about 3% female, 91 %male and about 6% couple. The ratio of male, female and couples seems to be consistent with what I read elsewhere. Since I was looking numbers this is no surprise as you would expect them to be reflective of facts. Now to move on to my observations which I do not have numbers for to support as fact, which means they are based only on my perceptions. I have spent some time randomly looking at who people choose to add as friends. What I found interesting is that it seems we are more likely to add a younger non-certified female with few if any pictures than we are to add any certified male. I would think that if someone was to join this site with intentions of making contacts for shall we say reasons other than a shared interest in nudism that they would be much more likely to pose as a single young female than as a male especially a certified male. Now I see why in the physical world, where physical gender Identify would be extremely difficult to hide in a nudist setting, that it makes sense to be more cautious of single males rather than single females. But on the internet, would it would be much easier to hide gender? From this observation there are a couple things I just dont understand. Why be more trusting and accepting of a non-certified profile for a young female than of a certified male? Also why would a female who does post nude photos (often open for anyone to see) not go through the certification process? Just in case you havent already assumed it here are a few of my opinions. By default I assume a non-certified female is probably not who they claim to be. I can understand why people are reluctant to the required nude photo to get certified (I was initially reluctant myself). What I do not understand is why anyone who is a true nudist and is willing to post any photos on a nudist site, would be reluctant to go through the certification process here at TN.
