Friends

I’ve one been a member of this site for a few weeks. It feels good when someone sends me a friend request. I think to myself, “Hey, someone looked at my profile and liked me.” It’s a pat on the back and a little ego booster. Then I go to their page and look at how many friends they have. When someone already has 300+ pages of friends, why do they want me? Are these people some sort of picture troller? Do they want to be friends just so they can see everyone’s pictures? Do people get some sort of bragging rights by having more friends than someone else? Are there contests to see who can have the most friends? I know it is impossible for anyone to establish a relationship with that many people. There is no way anyone could remember that many others. Personally, I would like a small group of friends who have common interests and I can communicate with frequently and easily. This seems like a much more pleasant situation and having rooms full of strangers watching what I do on-line.
