Friendship

My wife and I joined this site to make new friends and for the most part that is what we have done. We cherish all of you who have been super. But one thing puzzles me about others who have joined this site to meet new people but they judge you cause you have too many friends. Isn't this the Idea here, to meet new friends around the world? Maybe someone can answer why someone would get mad at you for you requesting them to be friends and they say you have too many and then call you names. It doesn't make sense why those people are here.
