Gas Pump - fail

Ok, I failed and it's haunted me for a while. I was out of town on an extended business trip and had a rental car. Halfway through the trip I needed to refill the gas tank. I had heard a friend of a friend had gassed up his car completely naked. It sounded incredibly daring, I was no where near home, I was in the mood for some excitement, so ... That afternoon I found a piece of cardboard and cut it the perfect size to fit over the car license plate On it I wrote "Tag Applied For" just in case the gas station had a camera. Around midnight, I headed out to the station I had seen earlier in the day. I picked this station because it wasn't manned 24 hrs a day and it wasn't on a busy street. I arrived a little after midnight and looked around. No one seemed to be in the convenience store as I passed by. I pulled into the strip mall (how funny) next door to attach the cardboard sign and to strip my clothes off. As I pulled into the gas station and parked next to a pump I started getting cold feet. I wasn't too worried about cameras around the station since the license plate was covered and I was far from home. Instead, I was worried that they could sync the time of the camera and my credit card payment. Crap! I grabbed my clothes, got redressed and filled up at another station a mile down the road. How can I pull this dare off? Have you done it before or heard of someone who's done it? I'm not a fan of failing. Ok, time for an update. Last summer at the height of COVID lockdown, I picked the same scenario. It was late one night at a station about 15 miles from home. I used the tag applied for sign on my own truck but this time I had a gift card I had bought earlier in the day. I was naked when I pulled into the pumps, stepped out of the truck wearing only my watch and paid then pumped in full view of the road but limited view of the store. It was somewhat anti-climactic since no one drove by, but the thrill was still real. As the pump clicked off and my tank was filled, I hopped back in the truck and pulled away, pleased that I had conquered another personal dare.
