How safe are you?

This one goes out as a warning. So a week or so ago, I was chatting with someone, who told me that you can sometimes work out the fakes by doing a reverse image search on photos in their profile. Now you can't do that with a right click on the image directly and using google, but you can do it using other methods. I started doing this and it became quite addictive especially when you receive PMs from young guys who describe themselves as tall, blond, athletic 'jocks'. Then you search for the image they have on their profile and then when you find the image elsewhere on the internet it's from some gay nudist site or softcore porn site. Now okay so they may have had the image stolen from this site and used elsewhere, but when the rest of the images in the set are much more 'explicit', then you start to wonder if the one on the profile here was actually stolen from the porn site rather than vice versa. Now while doing this I found someone who had used the same image on their profile here as they had on a linkedin profile - and as linkedin often lists your home or work address, then it's surely a way in for any freaks and would-be stalkers out there to find you. It's also a good reason for either not having a photo here unless you're happy with the whole world knowing who you are. I do care - at the moment I really don't want to be known by everybody! So this one is for real females here - please be careful!! As a postscript the woman I mentioned above is still using the safe profile picture so I assume that she either doesn't care that a reverse image search can take anyone to here linkedin profile, which includes her complete resume and home address and phone number or the photo isn't hers anyway.
