I`m just wondering

I'm just wondering why is it so hard for people to reply to their messages? I'm not trying to piss or upset anyone, but if you except or request someone, and they say thank you, why is it so hard to reply back and say your welcome? Or any other messages one might receive, please someone explain this to me because I just don't get
