I used to despise Waiting Rooms. Now I recognize them as a gift. I'm taken out of my mile-a-minute daily routine and forced to Slow Down. I can catch up on reading, text with loved ones or write in my journal (like I'm always "meaning to"). I have no control in a Waiting Room. I must Surrender myself to the little number on my ticket and the speed of the Flow around me. I get to Practice Patience. I am at the mercy of the receptionist who may be having a rough day. I know I'm gifted with the chance to show her kindness. Waiting Rooms are like a modern Purgatory. If used correctly you could walk out a better person. So don't dread the Waiting Room. Let go of the fear of "wasting time". It could be one of the Universe's most misunderstood blessings!
