Hello everyone, the battle of the bulge has begun and about time too! having reached the tender age of 59 years old, what!!!!!????? where have all those years gone? and with the big 60 on the horizon, I have decided to take the plunge and attack the unsightly bulge which has become my waistline. I, to be honest, did start the campaign some months ago, armed only with my training shoes, I set about completing the 10,000 steps a day regime, which here in the UK, our National Health Service recommends old codgers like myself complete on a daily basis, Full of ambition and vigour off I went, determined to smash the 10,000 steps and therefore recreate the body beautiful in double quick time, Week after week I resolutely set off, at a goodly pace I might add and became a daily vision of athletic determination around our village and the beach. Many a passer by stepped to one side as the sight of me, huffing and puffing, panting and sweating profusely, resplendent in my gym vest and shorts weaved unsteadily before their eyes. Weeks became months, through fine and fowl weather, off I went, regularly completing not 10,000, but 20, 000 and even more, 30,000 some days! my lovely partner Nici was sure I was going to over do it, desperately she tried to get me to stop , give it up! she cried, but I would hear none of it, until, that is, after months and months of this rigorous and vigorous regime, I stood before the full length mirror, in all my naked glory to view the result of all this hard toil. Oh no!!!!!!! I cried in anguish, this cannot be........there before me, in the mirror was an horrific sight, I had not lost my unsightly bulge, no, far from it, the bloody thing had got even bigger and worse, more flippimg wobbly!!!!. M y hopes dashed and full of despair, I turned to the internet, searching left right and centre for the answer to my problem. After many hours of surfing the information highway, I had come to a conclusion, middle aged spread was a more than worthy adversary and I needed to apply different tactics, smash it from all sides, not only a full frontal assault, but pincer movements from the sides and creep up om it from behind, so I equipped myself with two major allies, yes, not one, but two, ha ha, I cried when they were finally plonked on my doorstep by a less than enthused delivery man, now I was armed to the teeth with.........a rowing machine and exercise bike!!!!! So here we are, day one of the new battle of the bulge, surely now I will be able to cycle and row my way in to smaller size Jeans and T shirts and banish the wobbly jelly belly into history........well that is the plan anyway, also added to my arsenal are the free fitness coaching apps I eagerly downloaded to my Kindle tablet, that will be my virtual fitness coach, spurring me on to the new lithe and fitter me, no more sucking in my belly when broadcasting with the lovely Nici as we share our naked wII G olf evenings with the assembled masses occupying the main chatroom, here on True Nudists. Be prepared for regular updates, documenting my struggle to achieve the holy grail that is the six pack, washboard abs are on the horizon people, albeit some distance away.
