I was on our annual sailing holiday with my family. This time we were sailing the cyclades. The boat is a fantastic way to experience the sea and beach. It feels more like an adventure than a passive holiday. It becomes your home for the week. When you roll into port to moor you are a team, there to impress the other sailors with how efficient you are gonna be in mooring. You are not a mere tourist when you arrive by boat, you are a sailor! Life on the boat generally consists of - leaving port in the morning, sailing to a different island, exploring it by sea or land and then mooring for the night in a quiet bay or at a marina. Its an intense way to spend time with family - even a big boat isnt very big. So the days we have to spend ashore it is nice to disperse and have some alone time, my parents, my sister and her husband and myself. We had arrived on the island of Milos the night before, and we were not leaving until 5pm, I had a full day here. The normal sailing schedule meant I was already awake at 8am and having coffee and breakfast with the others. There is one best way to explore a mediterranean island - a motorbike! Since you cant really rent those, I had to settle for a scooter. So I packed my bag with copious amounts of water and sunblock sat on my scooter and I was ready for adventure! I had already saved on my phone in google maps the nudist spots I wanted to try. Riding my scooter there was amazing - the views, the wind in my face, the sense of freedom. I arrived at the first place I wanted to see - a widening of the road where a dusty path starts. Quite a few cars had parked there so I knew there must be a beach down there. I started walking down the path full of excitement. After a few turns the view opened up and I could see the beach - a nice deep bay surrounded by rocks and forest. It definitely wasnt empty, but there was still loads of space between the different groups of people. As far as I could see, not a swimsuit in sight. I saw a good spot, not too close to people that I wanted to take. As I was walking there I was very conscious of being clothed, I wanted to shout to people I am one of you dont worry. I laid down my towel, got naked and started applying sunblock. Oh how nice it was to be naked and free, feel the breeze on my body, especially after days on the cramped boat. I was a bit guilty for not spending time with family but hey, you dont come near such amazing places every day - you gotta take the opportunity. Here I was - buck naked on my towel. As a young man I am always conscious of coming across as a creep when I go to the beach alone. Again, I want to scream to these people I have a gf who is also a nudist, but she didnt come on this trip. But that would be a weird thing to announce to everyone, and probably have the opposite effect to what I intended. I dont like it that nudist places are full of a lot more men. And here I am being part of the problem. But I do keep telling myself, I am just enjoying the beach, being respectful and compared to the other people on the beachdefinitely easy on the eye. So I know the beach in the next bay is also meant to be nudist and in one of the forums people did say its okay to walk between the 2 naked. As I chill on the beach, listening to my book I do notice occasionally people coming and going that way and indeed most dont seem to be wearing clothes. After a couple of hours here I know I don't have much time left so I want to venture over there. I pack my stuff into my little bag without getting dressed and set off. First I walk along the whole beach, there are lots of different people - younger and older couples, some gay guys, some groups of friends and the occasional singleton like me. I reached the end of the beach where the path starts over the rocks, it looked like people had no problem walking that naked. It was quite hot by this stage and I had already walked the whole length of the beach, so I decided to cool down before setting off. I dropped my waterproof bag and sandals and ran into the water. It was June so the water was still a bit cold, so I though its best to run in and go fast otherwise I would faf going in. It was great to cool down and wash off the sweat. Now refreshed I started up that path. It was walking up along the rock cliff between the 2 beaches - it felt amazing to feel the wind on my skin, made even stronger by still being a bit wet. The view of the beaches and the sea was fantastic. I was hiking completely naked - it felt so bizzare, but also natural at the same time! My sandals werent the best footwear to navigate the occasional boulder section so I am sure it was quite a sight watching me balance on the rocks and occasionally hop between them. I did encounter some people on the way, and was very conscious about not offending anyone in case they werent okay with nudity. An old german couple came past - definitely nudists, they politely nodded. A group of 3 girls was coming my way - damn they were all dressed - as they came closer I saw the under their thing sarongs they were naked - okay, they were also nudists. As they were coming past I smiled and we all nodded. I suddenly though about the state of my penis, how was I presenting. It is young women seeing me naked that make me think about that the most. So I had a quick look down - I am not big to begin with and from going in the water and hiking I was shrunk, I wasnt presenting much to the girls, maybe an inch or so. Did they notice? Will they have a laugh about it at dinner - Lol, that guy we came across was so small? Or was I just one of the many guys they will see naked today and they forgot immediately after? I was almost at the second beach, a couple was walking in the opposite direction - they had brim hats and white sneakers - they must be Americans I thought. They stopped to ask me a question and as soon as I heard them speak it was confirmed - definitely Americans. They were asking me about how far the next beach is and if its tricky to get there. We had a few minute conversation whilst I was completely naked (well except for my Birkenstocks). Yet it felt so normal, its like they didnt even notice. I arrived at the second beach - it was as amazing as the first one, but a bit emptier as its harder to get to. I didnt have much time before I needed to get back, but just enough to go for another dip and dry in the sun whilst listening to my book in complete bliss. The ride back on my scooter was different - on the way there it was full of excitement, on the way back I was relaxed, content.
