Nurse Jenn was sharp, but quick on her feet, Her energy fueled by coffee and sweets. But one hectic day, in a hospital rush, She made a mistake that caused quite a fuss. The surgeon, OMalley, was ready, His scalpel gleamed, his hands were steady. Bring in the patient, he said with a grin, So Jenn grabbed a chart and ushered them in. But instead of Mr. Jim, who needed a new knee, She brought in old Doris, who came for her tea. Heres your patient, Jenn chirped, feeling spry, Not noticing Doriss bewildered reply. The doctor blinked and rubbed his eyes, She isnt for me -wheres the bad knee? Doris chimed in, her voice full of glee, Bad thigh? Oh no, Im here for some green tea! Jenn turned bright red and began to stutter, I swear I checkedoh, what a clutter! The surgeon sighed, but he couldnt stay mad, for Jenns mortified face was hilariously sad. So they wheeled poor Doris back outside Where she laughed so hard, she nearly died Jenn found Mr. Jim, and all was made right, Though she avoided OMalley for the rest of the night. Now Jenn double-checks every single chart, Her mix-up that day left quite a mark. But in the break room, they still tease her and let rip and shout Hey Jenn, is Doris prepped for her hip?
