My Thoughts on Nudity ---Social Nudity

Because denial of the body makes it an object of interest & curiosity, nudity & sexuality are closely linked in the perceptions of clothes-compulsive cultures. In reality, the acceptance of natural nudity in ordinary social situations significantly reduces its impact as an erotic cue and removes sexual connotations. Wearing nothing at all is less teasing & erotic than trying to hide skin with patches of cloth. First time nudists are often amazed to find that in very little time they are both comfortable & very relaxed in the presence of others. Nudity in itself is not sexual, our thoughts & actions make nudity sexual! Men who fear an embarrassing erection upon disrobing discover no real basis for their worries. If they do start to have an erection they usually find that it quickly subsides & no one really seemed concerned about a natural physical reaction. The penis expands & shrinks many times during the day, this is not to be confused with the throbbing erection of sexual arousal. Women have no cause for apprehension & discover they are no longer objects of unwelcome pursuit just because they are nude. Sex still remains a private matter between consenting adults. The lack of sexual pressure creates a more open communication between people & allows everyone to just relax and enjoy themselves. Sexual nudity is entirely different from social/natural nudity! When newcomers to home & social nudity experience the freedom of nudity, they discover a new self-appreciation of their bodies and the tranquility of people just being themselves without fear, condemnation, or worry. Self-consciousness almost always disappears in minutes. To be naked at home is to be comfortable with yourself. To be naked with others is to be comfortable with the world.
