Naked Breeze

I have been in a funk the last couple of days, working alone in a very small, conservative town without a lot of social interaction. Watching the smoke from all the fires, and feeling a bit uneasy about that and the rise in COVID cases. Fretting about a lot of things I am not in control of. I really needed a nature fix. I took off early this morning, with no particular destination in mind, in fact I have started to enjoy just going, and finding out where I end up, when I get there. I took off and ended up on a dirt road toward Wood Lake. As I climbed higher up the mountain trail on my motorcycle I was continually rounding a corner and saying to myself how amazing the beauty of the San Juan Mountains are, I was truly in awe. From the colorful carpeted meadows of flowers, flowing grasses and streams, The red, green and grey peaks, to the Bev Dolittle like aspen groves. An unspoiled expanse of natural beauty. Fucking awesome! I found an old 4 wheel drive road not too far below the tree line, that was grown over and looked like it had not been used for a while, parked my bike and headed up the trail on foot. As I rounded the first corner, I stopped and striped off my riding gear, and everything else, put my boots back on and continued on my hike naked. The feeling of the sun on my skin was making me feel loved and the breeze lightly brushing the hair on my body was like the earth speaking to me, telling me it is all ok, soothing my anxiety and calming my melancholy. After a good hike and a very long bike ride, I ended up in Ridgeway at Orvis Hot Springs for a nice soak! Now I feel much better! I will be in the Telluride area for a couple of weeks, till the 27th of August. If your interested in getting acquainted, hit me up!
