As an author on spiritual awakening and living the life you have always imagined, one of the biggest moments of my life has been becoming a nudist. In fact, in my latest book, I even write about one of my experiences of going to a clothing optional beach. From that moment on, the freedom of being naked became a part of my life. In reality, I have always been a nudist at heart, going naked as much as possible. Once again, being a heavier set person, I always felt that I would not belong around others who were more, how do I say, in shape. I always felt that I would be judged. For me, being a nudist was all about being naked around the house. It wasnt until my first real experience of going to a nudist beach as a heavy person, that my perception changed. Yes, I had seen pictures of other nudists who were overweight, yet, I still felt that I would not belong. In my latest book, I felt the need to share the story of going to that nudist beach the first time as a heavier person, so others would know the freeing experience of living life on their terms. To not care what others think, but to love life the way you are. That one moment was a life changer for me. I became more secure about myself and the fact that I met an amazing person, who was visiting the beach that day, and took away any fear or self-doubts that I had. To her I say thank you. I am not sure who she was, but she helped to change my life that day. Because of her, I felt that I was accepted. Let me say that it was a truly amazing day. When I looked around the beach, I noticed others who were my size enjoying themselves and the freedom that went with it. I laid on the beach and felt that all was right in the world. I talk a lot on these blogs about acceptance, because people ask me all the time about it. I feel it is important for others to know they are not alone and that someone has their back. I am glad that I stepped out of my comfort zone, as my mentor always said, and took the chance to be me. Liberation is a powerful thing. I am not going to say that being naked at clothing optional beaches or resorts that I have never been fat shamed because I have, but it no longer bothers me. I am okay with it. They have the problem, not me. I am proud to be a nudist and I am open about with everyone I know. I hold no shame. Now as for the weight, I am on a diet, not to look better, but for health reasons and because I am determined to run two 5Ks next year. To anyone who is worried about what others will think of them when they go nude, let me be the first to say, you have nothing to worry about whatsoever. You are accepted by a group of free spirited loving individuals, who know the joy of being free of all the constraints of life, including clothes. Feel free to be you and to enjoy the nudist life. I was talking to a couple of people in the last week. Both have partners who are worried about their body image, but enjoy the nudist lifestyle. They are both absolutely beautiful people and have nothing to be concerned about. Listen, if I am willing to go totally nude at my weight, they should have no issues at all (and neither should anyone at any weight)! Be you and enjoy all the benefits of nudism! Remember no worries, we got your back! Have an awesome day my friends and nude on!
