Notices

Is it my system or TNs? I recieve e-mails saying I have a message or someone wants to be a friend but when I come to my account there is nothing there. No new message notice. No new friends request. Nothing. Am I the only one with this problem or do others have the same issue? I receive only about 60% of the about notices. The others must be in some deep dark hole on the TN site that fell to go through to the person.
