Nudism and Sex

Why do so many people equate nudism with sex? There IS a big difference. I find the act of being nude to be freeing. I look at it as a natural representation or expression of who we are as beings. It seems that far too many people in todays society cannot separate the two from each other. Just because someone is naked, does not mean they are looking for anything other than to relax and be themselves. I guess I can understand to a point how someone might interpret nudism with sex. I have found a few people that I met at beaches and so forth that are strictly there for one thing, to hook up. I guess they consider it getting a free preview. Personally, I feel that most people who enjoy the nudist lifestyle, like me, are doing it for the relaxation and the freedom. I have never been to a nude beach or resort with the intention of finding someone to hook up with. What are your thoughts? The reason I ask is someone I know is going to a resort in the Midwest, for the first time, and she is concerned about this. She just wants to go and try it out without worrying. I told her she has nothing to be concerned about. Once there, she can check it out and if she is comfortable, she can try it. I also told her that chances are she will meet others to interact with that will put her mind at ease. I know for me, nudism is a way of life and I couldnt imagine it any other way.
