Nudist escapades in Jamaica

With COVID causing havoc to all of international travel plans, we thought that it would be nice to remember that this crisis will eventually pass and that it is always good to plan ahead. Here are some options in Jamaica Other than infamous Hedo resort (see below) , Jamaica also offers some options for nudist lifestyle-friendly holidays. Treasure Beach villa take-over-- 15 min from the small and laid back village of Treasure Beach lies Anita Villa. The Villa can easily host 5 couples. The owner and the caretaker are very comfortable with guests' nudity. We did not wear a stitch of clothing for the duration of our stay both on the property and on the secluded beach below. We did not see a soul except for the odd small boats carrying tourists or fishermen in the distance The villa has a cabana and a roof top patio perfect for outdoor love making. The beach is also a paradise for play, including at night by the fire. Bring your closest nudist friends, food and drinks (including drinking water as the tap water has a salty aftertaste) -- you will have a blast. Hint: Look for Fred on AirBnb and his 3 properties at Treasure Beach: villa, apartment and cottage. They are all on the same lot. Club Ambiance in Runaway Bay. This resort has terrible reviews on TripAdvisor. Don't let the vanilla reviews scare you. The resort is relatively small (90 rooms or so) and shows its age. However, it is clean, the Jamaican food is good, it has a nude beach on a man made lagoon and has a relaxed atmosphere throughout. We were able to remain nude on the other beaches. Apparently Club Ambiance has a swinger past and some swinger groups occasionally still visit for hotel take-overs. Upgrade to any of the honeymoon suite for a nicer, sea facing room with balcony where you are free to make love. It is quiet: there were about 25-30 people during our visit. Only 5 couples were regularly using the nude beach. We were able to expand the nude beach without any issue and play discreetly on the nude beach including with our toys, -- although a German gay guy walked up to us once with a big smile and a hard-on... Club Ambiance is more than 50% cheaper than Hedo (and Jamaican residents are apparently able to negotiate a further 50% than the internet rate charged to foreigners). The small club room (Fantastico) was closed during our visit but could easily be turned into a playroom. Until then, just invite your new friends to your room. Port Antonio. We discovered a beautiful naturist destination near lush Port Antonio, called Shotover Gardens Estate (shotovergardens.com). The owners are laid back, lifelong nudists and would very much welcome more nudist guests. The accommodations (cabin, cottage and villa) are simple and comfortable for up to 8 guests. The location is simply spectacular: located 300 m above sea level, it offers amazing views of the ocean and surrounding hills set in a beautiful, quiet and private settings, including a pool. The estate is about 20 min up Port Antonio. You dont need a 4WD drive but a car with high clearance is recommended. You need to bring your own food for your visit. We had planned to go to Port Antonio during our stay but the thought of leaving this paradise and putting back any clothes was too much to bear. Although the owners are not in the lifestyle, they had no issue with us fully enjoying ourselves and the surroundings. This is, by far, the least expensive and the most beautiful of the destinations that we have explored in Jamaica. Hedo/Point Village: we spent a few days in Negril. It was much cheaper for us to rent a studio at Point Village and purchase passes to go to Hedo. Point Village is a former hotel resort well past its glory days. However, the grounds are well maintained and our small room was clean and functional. We opened our French doors to the sea-facing balcony for the duration of our stay. With an occupancy rate of less than 20%, we always remain nude on our balcony where we could also make love at night and early mornings. The Point nude beach is adjacent to Hedo's: you are able to walk the full length of Hedo beach at any time without purchasing a pass. We spend some very pleasant times on the Point nude beach. A single security attendant and a small scattering of other guests generally ignored us. They are too busy watching the action next door. We also purchased day passes for Hedo that give you access to the full resort (except the playroom & nude jacuzzi) including food and drinks. Guests can be nude throughout except for the lobby and restaurant (although we witnessed toplessness and g-strings there as well). There were three distinct groups at Hedo during our stay: a travel group from Florida; a swinger group from Pennsylvania and a bondage workshop. Hedo never felt full and was pretty laid back given its party reputation. Although oral and hand play were frequent (especially by the nude pool), only a few couples had full blown outdoor sex during our stay and, to our chagrin, no group sex occurred. However, we took full advantage of the outside beds that are located near the (former) prude beach. We returned to Hedo the following year with friends for a full week but this will be a topic for a future blog.
