Being modest was never something that interested me. What's there to be shameful of really? Now being humble, well... to make a self identifying statement feels like toeing the line of hypocrisy. Let's just say humility is something I'm trying to stay mindful of. Sometimes passion shared can be confused with ego, and vice versa. Lines cross and merge, perception is such a fragile construct and yet held like iron when fixed in the mind. Somewhere between experience and expression is a point where our truths can meet. In this space is the Artistic Dharma, where one can give without taking. You do what you can; dance, paint, sing, play. It is the observer's truth that gives beauty to your art. Painter and viewer, singer and listener, dancer and audience; creative partnerships. One is incomplete without the other. This is the spirit of humility. Thank you for sharing my art.
