One door closes...

...and another opens. The ax fell at work yesterday, and my job was eliminated. I am past the anger now (I hope) and gave myself the day off to enjoy the sunshine and do some artwork. 72 degrees in March in central NY is a rarity to be savored! This evening will have me diving back into my course readings for this semester's final papers. I'll apply for unemployment first thing on Monday morning and get on with my life. As semester ends on April 27th, I plan to send out resumes but spend most of the time on schoolwork. I hope the next job will be non-retail and more conducive to a heavy study schedule. There are two great things about being laid off....no more closing shifts, and more time to be nude and comfortable. I figure things could be a heck of a lot worse.
