Orpheus Bay nude beach is located to the west of Auckland close to the town of Huia. Follow the signs for Huia Point Lookout (on Kaitarakihi Point) but park in the open parking area after going about 150m along Huia Point Lookout Road and continue on foot down the Con Bryan Track on the left hand side. The beach has dark yellow sand and is well shaded by overhanging trees. At high tide the beach has a tendency to disappear, apart from the western end. From Titirangi in West Auckland, follow the signs towards Huia, turning left at sign to Huia Point Lookout. Track entrance is 200m along, in the far corner of a grassed parking area, the Con Bryan Tract. A small sandy beach backed by bush-clad hills, best in mid-summer. Good swimming and fishing. No camping.
