Praise and Worship

PRAISE and WORSHIP: (Morning Meditation) Is never for the benefit of God. It doesn't pump Him up. God Himself declared, ....For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, - Isaiah 46:9. (There's no lack of confidence there!) Praise and Worship does not serve as a reminder of what God has done in case He has forgotten. Just take a moment to read Job chapter 38 and you'll see, just like Job, that God remembers exactly what He has done and the greatness of His works. God has absolutely no problem remembering. Except....when it comes to our sin that He has forgiven. Nor does Praise and Worship serve to make sure that God knows who He is as if He suffers from an identity issue. When Moses asked God, Who do I say has sent me?" God gave the thunderous, and confident response of ....I AM WHO I AM. And He said, Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.(Exodus 3:14) Nope! Praise and Worship is not meant as a benefit to God. It doesn't pump Him up, let Him know how great He is, nor does it inform Him of who He is. Praise and worship is for your and my benefit. When we praise and worship God it pumps us up. It builds up our confidence and most holy faith. When we praise and worship God it reminds us of His greatness, His mercy, His grace and all that He has already done for us. The more we Praise and Worship God the more we see Him as He is. The more we know Him. The more we know Who He is. And the more we know Who He is,.....the more you will know Who you are! Praise and Worship is for our benefit. So do yourself a favor this morning........GET YOUR PRAISE ON!
