I just spent the best week of my life thanks to NEWT ( www.naktv.net/newt2014 ). I stayed with around 40 nudists from 11 countries in an Austrian chalet. We were 5 to a room but nudists don't need privacy. About one third were women. We were hiking in the stunning Austrian Alps - fresh air, wonderful views good exercise and one with nature. A few of the women and one or two men hesitated to strip off at first with cooler, damp weather. But most of us realised skin is waterproof and walking keeps us warm. We had to cover up very occasionally as we walked through a village. An interesting assortment of wraps appeared from sarongs to kilts and skirts all split down the side to avoid having to pull them on over muddy boots. And that was just the men. So mostly we were naked. The sun shone for most of the week easing even the reluctant nudists out of their clothes. If we met other hikers on the trail we smiled and said a cheery hello. Sometimes we would stop and chat to them. There is some safety in numbers especially with both sexes in the group. But we would respect any children (or rather their parents).Everyone had agreed that we could be photographed by the others. You will find some of my photos here and others on the naktv.net/newt2014 website. There was also a producer and cameraman filming a documentary of our week. I say cameraman but they were two attractive young girls who joined us in our nudity. Needless to say they had no problem getting us to do, and pose, just as they wished.We stayed naked in the evenings. On returning to the Hut we had a few glasses of beer or wine while the evening meal was being prepared. Then it was food, more wine and chatting until late. (no we weren't pissed as NEWTs). You cannot imagine the friendship between 40 or so people from across the world with at least two common interests - nudity and hiking. We were from all backgrounds from manual worker to atomic physicist. And sometimes there were language problems but we got round them. We all mucked in together and just stayed naked the whole week truly 24/7. It was the best week of my life.
