So I finally got the nerve!

Today, it was the hottest day of the year (so far) and thought I'd bunk off work and head for the coast - to my usual beach. It was very quiet to start with, but as the morning went on, more and more people arrived, mainly men. As they went past there was polite small talk and they moved on. Then, late morning, a couple of females arrived. They didn't get as far as me, they set up their pitch a little bit before getting to me. They appeared curious of me (I have no idea why!), as they kept sitting up and looking in my direction. Eventually, they went into the sea - just about the same time as I did. So, I took a deep breath and waded over to have a friendly chat. As I approached, one of them was looking rather nervous. As I got close, I tried starting a conversation being mindful of the apparent nerves. Anyway, it was obvious that she was uncomfortable with me approaching her, so I mentioned that I thought this was the case and apologised and moved away again. Shame really. All I wanted was to chat, but I completely understand her situation, as most of the guys walking past were staring as they did so. I was hoping that I cold have finally found that beach buddy(s) I've been looking for, but alas.... They weren't young, probably late 20's/early 30's maybe. It was hard to tell. Anyway, I did impress myself... I didn't get an erection. I thought I would, but didn't. If I had as I was approaching, I would have moved away immediately. One day I'll have that beach buddy!!
