Some Days Are Better Than Other Days

Every once in a while, you have a really special day. Yesterday was one of them. I live in central Florida. My son lives in San Francisco. A surprise phone call and visit from him was a surprise bonus to a day that was already going well. We had lunch at a really nice riverfront restaurant in Daytona Beach. Before that, I had finished ( Isn't that a great word? ) a really nice ,lucrative business transaction. We work to earn money. Wouldn't you agree that some customers are nicer, more fun, more fulfilling , more exciting, more appreciative, than others? This customer was really special in several ways. That was a great way to start that day. Then lunch with my son. I received a phone call and made an appointment for someone to come look at my antique bike that I have for sale. Then an early dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant, a new cuisine for me. Then off to see ( Put this show on your list )" A Natural Woman, A tribute to Carole King". What a prolific song writer! She wrote about half the hit songs of the sixties seventies starting with ,in 1960,"Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?". my favorite cha cha song ever. Do not miss this show if it comes to a venue near you. Fabulous is an understatement. The five minute standing ovation was certainly appropiate. We could have left there and gone straight home. " Do you want to stop somewhere and get a drink ?", I asked my sweetie. " No, I want to stop at Culver's and get an ice cream. ". We are getting close to the end of a beautiful evening when we walk into Culver's at 9 56 . Bad news" They told the ice cream machine was broken. No ice cream. That is what happens when fast food employees get tired near closing time. Been there. Done that. Not to be dissuaded, we bought a pint from the freezer and asked the clerk for two spoons.
