Streak for a Cure

I am so excited to say that today I ran the Streak for a Cure at the Paradise Lakes Resort in Lutz, Florida. Nothing more exciting than being naked for a cause! To be honest, this was a spur of the moment decision for me a couple of weeks ago to sign up. If you have read any of my prior blogs, then you know that I am training for two 5Ks next year. This race however had a special meaning to me. My mother passed away from breast cancer within eight months of her diagnosis in 2007. All the money raised today is being donated to breast cancer awareness and to find a cure. I am proud to get naked anytime for a worthy cause. Although I wasnt really ready to run just yet (still training), I made it through with a run/walk mentality. For me it was about finishing the race. I also want to say that the staff and everyone at Paradise Lakes are absolutely amazing! Thank you to everyone who participated and now off to enjoy some fun in the sun!
