The Freedom of Nudism

The freedom of nudism is to experience one in complete wholeness. To be alive in the understanding that living a life without constraints (clothes) is the most freeing experience you will ever have. Not everyone will understand this since many people were brought up to be ashamed or embarrassed by naked bodies. The human body is nothing to be ashamed of. In every shape and size it is the most beautiful thing to ever be created and should be celebrated. No matter what you choose to believe, you must always believe that living life as a nudist is a gift. A gift that many will never get a chance to experience because of stereotypes. We, nudists, in many sections of the population are social outcasts. People do not understand why we live like we do. This is because social nudism has never really been brought to forefront of our teachings of social liberation. To live life naked is in itself the truest sense of liberation. As a nudist, I believe it is our responsibility to bring nudism to the masses, but how do we do this? Over the years I have seen an influx of nudism in various places, from product ads to television shows. Although as an American living in the states, we are very behind our European brothers and sisters when it comes to public nudity. Although I have never travelled abroad, I have read many articles on the subject and the freedoms they enjoy. I have to admit, I am a bit jealous. Another problem we face is the fact that many people do not care for their bodies and are ashamed to show them. The reason societal standards. We have been manipulated by marketing to believe that to be accepted one must look a certain way. This is untrue. A true nudist understands that the human body in any shape and form is beautiful in all aspects, however we live with the stigma of what society tells us as far as beauty. I for one do not in anyway conform to these standards. I am about as far away from them as you could imagine, but I am not ashamed of my body. That is not to say that I once was not. Yes, I fell for the advertising tricks and believed that unless I changed, society would not accept me. Once I realized that I didnt need to fit in to those standards, my life changed. I realized I am perfect the way I am. Until, we as a society wake up to the understanding that social nudism is not bound by any restrictions and that we are all beautiful in our own way, we will remain that social outcast until we take our message to the masses. I believe one day that nudism will be socially accepted by most of society. Yes, their will always be that one nay-sayer, but they will be the minority in an ever-growing population of people who understand the joys and benefits of social nudism.
