The Mental Freedoms of Social Nudity

In a nudist setting, I have found fellow nudists to be extremely friendly, social, and as a rule very non-judgmental. At nudist functions it is the general normal to see all shapes of people. Often times people who are new to the nudist lifestyle are very self conscious of their imperfections. The fact of the matter is people actually hide themselves with clothing. The cool discovery about true nudists is; Nudists don't care what you look like. It is refreshing to know they are just as comfortable talking to you while you're naked or when you have clothes on. Nudists have nothing to hide. Nudity is a natural thing. History has proven that people can take a natural and innocent thing and turn it into something perverted and unnormal. Unfortunately, religion has contributed greatly to making nudity socially unacceptable. For us Christians, originally it was God's desire for mankind to exist on earth completely nude amongst the animals who are also nude. God wanted mankind to have the freedom of choice, so He created the tree of Knowledge. He told Mankind to enjoy the world as he created it and not to eat the fruit from the tree of Knowledge. If they choose to eat from that tree their eyes would be opened to the knowledge of good and evil. Immediately after they ate from the tree Adam and Eve saw that they were naked and ran and hid and covered themselves. With the new knowledge that there is wrong in this world, man decided that the bodies God gave us needed to be covered up. Why? Some religions have gotten to the point where woman can't even let the public see their faces. Thus there are woman who are forced to live their lives completely covered up, with only their eyes visible. Is that what God intended? Who decides what part of the human body is OK to be exposed in public? God's plan was for all of our body to be as natural as our exposed faces. This is where the freedom of social nudity comes in, nudists don't see the naked body as perverted, "sinful", or something to hide. It is refreshing to be amongst fellow nudists and feel the natural life that God originally intended for us. On another level, I recently participated in a nude bike ride in San Francisco. My favorite part of that event was when I was walking my bike amongst fellow human beings who were wearing clothes. They accepted me walking around completely naked. It felt like a step towards liberty. It almost seemed like the clothed people saw nothing wrong with my nakedness. On my profile you will see a picture of me walking my bike amongst the clothed public. My question to those who see nudity as a bad thing, Why is the naked body something we have to hide? Why aren't we hiding the bodies of all the animals in this world? In the country side it is not uncommon to see a horse's penis hanging down 12 or more inches. Why aren't we covering that up? Nudity is not lewd!! In my profile you will see me socially with a few animals, I think it's pretty clear that they don't care if I'm nude or not. The mental freedoms of social nudity: Knowing that its ok to be nude and no one cares what "imperfections" you have. Having the liberty to feel the sun, wind, and natures elements on your entire body.
