The Path that Deviantart, an Art Social Media Platform, has chosen, is a dangerous path that cannot be mimicked here. Deviantart chose a dangerous path that cannot be mimicked here. Deviantart has serious repercussions to pay for their losses of individual human members and small creators. Deviantart has serious repercussions to pay for the harm committed by their use of Artificial Intelligence to create fake art and commit piracy of other people's art works. Deviantart has alienated their community completely and have SOLD OUT! Deviantart's story should be a warning of what could happen to the internet at large, including this site. Deepfake art has been embraced by Deviantart, with the AI generating images of people used to generate art for purposes of fooling humans to think the art that was not generated by a computer program but instead was really made creatively by a human. They Refuse to Ban such use of generative AI and continue to let people monetize art with tools they created to make art for users and other companies on Deviantart's website. Deviantart might even use such tools in AI offered in the paid online services owned by WIX, the parent company of Deviantart. And They do it so at the peril of the artists themselves, often to also see the art not be as good as the past use of Real Artists. They also do so at the peril of their company because they are losing paying customers. I will elaborate in a later blog about the gross details of Deviantart's terrible practices. Point being is this: Deviantart is not going to do well financially. We need better models for community than communities like Deviantart. It appears that tools used for the Artificial Intelligence Web Art used to pose as fake images of people, known as Deepfake technologies, are used both on this website and on Deviantart. What they did to the Art community on Deviantart is outrageous. They use databases to steal art, and use databases to create fake art. If people are using "Create a person photo" or "create a deepfake" or "create a fake person" or "create a person" or "Draw a person" or using "ChatGPT," or using "OpenAI" or using "google GEMINI" or "Microsoft AI" or Wix or Deviantart AI Generative AI tools, or whatever to just do whatever no matter what the cost, You are doing evil things. Nobody should do that. Nobody should do that. Generative A.I. should not be used and should not be used by people to manipulate people. Nobody should use it.
