The wrong teeth !

When I was a student I was on attachment on this geriatric ward. Sadly at lunchtime one day one of the patients died. She was in her 90s I remember. I assisted in laying her out for when the family came to the hospital to see her. Shortly after their visit, the deceased s daughter requested that her mother have her false teeth back and put in, assuring everyone that her mother would look much better with her teeth in. This resulted in a ward search - for the missing teeth. No one could find the missing teeth. The ward clerk came to the rescue and after a frantic search - the missing teeth were at last found. Off I trotted to the mortuary, teeth in hand. The mortuary technician queried the value of placing the teeth back. I sympathetically explained it was the families wishes. On we go, and the teeth are returned to the deceased woman, but they dont fit well. The technician is now between a rock and a hard place. The teeth are half in and half out and the deceased is now looking particularly odd with a smirk on her face with rather huge teeth. Now the teeth wont come out - we are stuck. With a bit of adjusting the technician is happy with the final result, whilst I thought to myself now the deceased doesnt look like the lady who died. The undertaker collected her and brought her to thx funeral home. The next day we received an irate call. The daughter, now enquiring again about the teeth. I calmly reassured her the teeth are in and her mum looked lovely. Lovely ? She barked at me over the phone. My mother looks like a baboon and who owns those teeth? They are not my mothers !
