why are you here?

Some people might say its none of my business, but I feel it is because this is a chatting forum. Were here to connect, learn about each other, and share experiences. Yet I notice some profiles clearly state they dont want to interact. That makes me wonder if you dont want interaction, why join a community like this? Ive even seen long pages of bio where, right at the very end, it says dont ask me anything else . Thats like writing a book and then saying but please dont read it. Honestly, why be here if you dont want to chat? And then there are bios that say dont say hi, hello, or how are you. Well how exactly are we supposed to start a conversation then? If we say those, its wrong and if we say something else, we get blocked. Whats going on here? lol Sometimes, even when I do manage to start a conversation, all I get are one-word replies. To keep things going, Ill ask follow-up questions or try to create a topic and then suddenly Im annoying or boring. If thats the case, maybe mention how youd actually like people to approach you in your bio. It would save a lot of confusion. Ive also seen profiles saying things like single men dont message me or Indians dont slide into my DMs. Thats loud and clear and honestly, I respect that. Whether its because of a bad experience or just personal preference, at least its upfront. It actually makes it easier to skip those profiles and not waste time (or annoy anyone) lol. At the end of the day, were all here to connect, and a little openness goes a long way otherwise, whats the point of being on a social site?
