Why do people sometimes think a friend acceptance here is an invitation to dinner etc

A rant!!!......just because I enjoy social chatting here does NOT mean I enjoy constant pressure and invites for meeting total strangers. I mean what world are you living in if you think I am willing to meet you when we don't know anything about each other. I enjoy chatting here and having online friends. I only intend meeting two people here!!. one in the UK who is planning some charitable work, and one in Norway who I would like to meet. That is it. If you are in Cyprus and have been messaging me to go to dinner, I don't know any other way of saying NO THANKS that I haven't already used! Maybe this blog will do the trick!! Rant over! BTW hello to all genuine chatters here. hope things are going well. we actually had rain here the other day!
