Wine On The River

It was pouring down the rain Saw her holding on to her mans hand so tightly They were running on through the muddy puddles I stared for a second then walked on my way I saw them later after the rain was gone I saw them hugging I grit my teeth hoping she didnt notice I never could get why she even liked him They had wine on the river It made me go crazy Its not like he really treated her great But she took it anyway I watch subtly behind the bushes on the other side He just drives off on his bike without her I swim to the other side with no thought to myself She holds it all in She finally saw me I go to hug her She laughs and hugs me back I ask her to hang out The next day we have wine on the river I never thought Id get to this point with her Now shes my girlfriend I will not break up this opportunity Weve seen him a few times since that first time It steams me just to see his face She calmly holds my hand So for her sake we keep on going Not going to lie I wish he would just apologize But shes already put it outside her mind Shes so great and now shes mine Now its more than just wine on the river Lovely canoe trips are planned A lot of it is her ideas I gladly agree to do as she pleases
