You won`t find Truth with your head in the sand...

As I fight for my right to freedom of expression… there are much more deadly battles happening only 10 hours away from me. I’m bitching in Arizona, while people die all around me, in the most inhumane ways. A call against self-censoring… censoring your own view of the world was put out by a friend. To look at the truth and see what is really happening out there. I wept and I feel fucking sick. I kept my eyes and my heart open, forcing myself not to look away… but to be open to the misery and suffering… this Yantra of Pain. How often do we turn a blind eye to what we can’t bear to witness? Cover our ears to ugly truths? We in the Conscious Community create a force field of emotional separation and we mask it under terms like “Positive thinking”. We try to exemplify great teachers like the Buddha… and yet were are still Princes hiding in the palace, protecting ourselves from the suffering outside. It was only when Gautama stepped outside the walls and confronted the truth that he began his spiritual journey.This world is so big and yet so small… we make it easy to forget or just accept the slaughter that is happening just around the corner from us really. It is an agreement that needs to be broken. These are not “other people in another place”. That’s you bleeding on the ground, and me. When we ignore the truth we are both the victims and the perpetrators of this violence. This has to stop.
