  My husband has a son who has been estranged through no fault of my husband. Allen is the best "dad" to our kittens and was good to his son even through the divorce from his son's mother.   I made sure the kittens had a card waiting this morning for my DH.

  Although it's nice to receive presents, I do not believe in all these special days. You should not have to be reminded to show your love and appreciation of someone. It should come naturally and when you wish, and not because of all this commercialisation, for profiteering.
