Alright, tech challenged here, so probably a stupid question. If your anti virus is set to run automatically at a specific time, say the middle of the night,  does it still do so if the computer is turned off?

    The answer is no. My Norton will only run when computer's running!

    I use McAfee, if my computer is not on when it is scheduled to run, it runs the next time I turn my computer on.
